Better now than in 5 years like my mate did, twice. Shouldn't have taken him that long, those poor women didn't deserve to be strung along while he wallowed in indecision. You're doing the right thing being honest early.

Being on the receiving end of my ex-girlfriend having the same kind of indecision a few weeks ago I'd say go for it, it's definitely unfair to the other party in the relationship to be strung out for too long. It was much better she told me sooner so it didn't get too out of hand...

Got one friend who is being put through a lenghty audition process, another who is buying into the "not ready for another relationship yet" line, and one whose beau hasn't wanted to see him in-person for five months. And I'm a bad guy for pointing out the obvious.

Everyone likes to think their situation is totally unique, but it's usually a matter of one person not liking the other. Occam's razor, people.

Looks like another 50-hour workweek for me this week.  Because the part-timers that are supposed to fill the gaps in the schedule never want to work.  The same part-timers who always complaint that they never get any hours.   

I love the money, but at some point I'd like to have a life.

A bunch of high school kids drove up to a party down the street.  They are walking around with beers.  In a couple hours they will get back in their cars and drive off.  I hate some idiot parents.

I had to fire a kid yesterday.  There was a miscommunication with when he was supposed to work, and when he came in late I pointed out that he came in at the wrong time - it would have been no big deal, but he walked out and I was too busy to chase after him.  A little while later his older sister came in and in a very loud voice told me how she thought I was running my business all wrong and that she could apparently run it much better since it is so easy to run. I nearly punched a girl in the face right there. Then I found out the kid told her that I said he was fired and to get out - which I did not. This is the second time this kid has thought he's been fired and a woman from his household has come to tell us how they feel about it. So it went from something that was no big deal that I was going to let go with a shrug, to a phone call telling him this wasn't working out.

On the plus side we've done half the sales in one week that we would normally do in a month! Of course I'm pretty much dead on my feet right now.

I told him that in all likelihood your consciousness will dissolve. It will be like before you were born.

But I did add the caveat that I've seen enough weirdness(recurring dreams that came true, a friend's house that felt very haunted) that I haven't completely written off the idea that there's something more.

Got a new boss at work, and she is flexing her power muscle.  Which makes life more difficult for me.  But, meh.

New bosses can be hell. Having worked on several projects you sometimes have changing project leadership (in case of set-backs), they always feel a need to confirm their power the first few months.

Even worse, interim managers, universally despised and rightly so IMNSHO.

Bosses: The worst is when they flex their power by doing the -opposite- of what their underlings suggest, just on principle(unless you're devious enough to trick them with reverse psychology...  ).
