rainy as hell in devon today. i'm wearing a jumper at work and my toes are cold.

The killer to me sounds like all 4 of you in one room... horrendous.

Ho ho ho.
You'd be surprised what's going on Chez Midaski at the moment - I was on a roll, but work has got in the way for the last 10 days and will continue to do so until next Tuesday.

Good news is No2 Son moves out on Saturday and then the wife is going to Spain for 10 days early September.
I have threatened to 'reclaim' his room for the hobby - but she seems to think son may come back at the end of this Uni year.

Is "Pretense" some sort of verb grammar description?

I find hobby things tend to go the same way as nature. You clean a room and within a week, little bits begin to find themselves left on desks and shelves, then a box. Then four boxes. Then that army you are moving upstairs but never got round to. Within a month you can't see the floor again. The point I am making is, like a great forest, hobby material always reclaims it's own. Just explain this to your wife and she will no doubt understand.

I have stubbornly claimed a corner of the kitchen worktop for my adeptus mechanicus army and in the name of mars they shall not be moved! The excuse is that I do not yet have a big enough minatures cabinet for them and I am not likely to back down!

Still raining heavily in Cornwall. I replaced a large section of my roof weekend just gone, finished at eight in the evening and damn was I glad of it, thunder started that night!

Weather better today, still a bit of rain.
Back in Surrey it was 24 degrees and sunny. Surely you go somewhere better for your holiday. My employees had to have lunch inside as it was a bit too hot.

Yesterday some psycho killed a 10-year old girl with an axe, while she was walking out from a bookstore with her parents. Given how shitty our legal system is, he won't recieve a major punishment... probably.
