It is not enough to have no ideas of your own; you must also be incapable of expressing them.

Ok, yet I still don't see it on the GW internet site, so don't bet the farm on it just yet.

It's confirmed in the official Warhammer App

Must be getting older quicker than I realize, but I got no idea what an "app" is, except it's some sort of computer program on some sort of "advanced" whosamawidget.  And so if GW released information that way, at a minimum they probably don't give a flying hoot about me anyway, I'm only part of the 20% that once purchased some of their products, otherwise they'd release such news the old fashioned way, and then I might actually believe it.  Oh and did I use the word "might" back in that sentence ... yep, there it is, by golly gee I did.  Perhaps the supposed GW "app" is a big whosamawidget hoax anyway.  Besides, my farm is still in working order, and I ain't trading it for no "bridge" either.

The Warhammer App is real, since it's mentioned, and has download links in many places on their website.  So there is no doubt it's genuine news.   I expect the same announcement will be on What's New Today on their website soon.

So this app is sort of like being on a mailing list for promotional BS, except you're dedicating resources on your phone to it?

:icon_lol:  Oh, so apps are just another form of advertsing, eh?  Yep, that's what I want on a new fangled whatsamawidget.  Then again, I'm not part of GW's 80/20 rule anyway.  Ya know, the one that says they're only going to focus on the 20% of the folks that buy 80% of their product, and the other 80% of people can be ignored.

And currently I don't dedicate any "resources", whatever that means, on my phone to GW.  My phone bill still gets paid to a phone company, and it's hopefully for the service being provided, and not me paying to be advertised to through my phone.

If my current phone fails, and I hope it doesn't, sure hope I can buy another phone that doesn't have apps ... oops, I mean ads ... on it.  It's got to be ok to have a regular phone that we can just talk on, right?  Well, ok, I do some texting now and again, yet mostly just to the younger crowds who are seemingly struggling more and more to have a real conversation with another human on a phone.

The most useful app on a phone besides calling and sms is maps. Trying to find that restaurant? Picking somebody up from somewhere? Need to meet someone somewhere you have never been? Trying to find him open for inspection? But then I don't use my phone for much, but maps is close to an essential now that I have thrown out my car street directory.

For me it's an urban communication map. Thanks to its usefullness I can quickly plot a travel route from one point to another. Great stuff.

I like my bank app. Don't want to physically go to the bank to deposit check. Simply sign it, use the app to take pics of front and back and then submit it. Check deposited.
