Anyone here with the old copy or files of warhammer skirmish? Like the ones that used to have on website where you can play small scenerios and stuff. They took that down like a year ago and I regret so much not saving it...

I have the book when the book was out and available.

I prefer the Warband Rules. Skirmish is alright, but when your going T3 to T4 it hurts, a lot.

I did, however, find all the rules for the old empire special characters and snatched them while I can

I believe the Skirmish rules can be found in the 6th edition rule book.

Not the rules, I have the rules basically memorized...more of the scenerios.

Shame they don't have this anymore...I quite enjoyed them plus all the hobby projects.

What warhammer needs is skirmish rules in the game book expanded on.
What I feel is:

- Most units should have a skirmish option, especially if you take less than 15 of them.
- Skirmishers (as now) shouldn't take away rank bonusses.
- As now, skirmishers should be -1 to hit with missile fire.
- Skirmishers don't have problems with difficult terrain.
- A unit can reform into rank 'n' file or skirmish.
- A unit must be "skirmished" to assault walls.
- Ranked infantry units receive +2 CR per rank.
- As well as re-rolling break tests, a BSB should give the unit +1CR per 5 troops if the unit he's in is flanked.

Then some units fight better when "Skirmished" and some fight better (and generate a lot of CR) when ranked.

Wow! That archive seems to be missing a lot of pictures but still pretty cool! I remember reading through all of those lol. My favorite one is where 2 opposing groups go in a cave to steal a stone troll's loot. You had to include a musician to lull the troll. The Slave Trade one was cool. As was the one where a couple dwarves had to defend and close a gate versus skavens or goblins. I didn't remember it, but all the scenarios have special packs you could buy! those were the days. Cheers.

Is there a Skirmish type game for 8th? I don't care for tournaments... for campaigns, skirmishes would be cool. Border Patrol rules battles and skirmish for small stuff, normal games for big battles.
