Finished the warlock, but suffering from almost constant headaches. Negative for covid, but stress is dangerous in the long run...
Maybe I should try that some time, paint one figure and then another. Maybe just leaders or something like that. Got too many rank and file for not dong them in batches currently.
It's a nice change of pace, but batching is the way for rank and file of units larger than 10. Got to mix in some warmachine with crews, heroes etc to not drown under the burden that is ranked infantry. Got 5 dreadspears to go and 20 darkshards before more fun units such as hydra, reaper bolt throwers, more characters. Also limiting the number of hordes in my elven armies to keep units smaller, 40+ white lions is cool but 20 feels enough. One horde each of seaguards and dreadspears is resonable. In my Empire army, all combat infantry units are 40-60 minis xD
Maybe The Old Worlds unit sizes are more like in 6th and 7, but combat rules stay more like 8th, nice to get to hit back and not just fold when charged.
Right now, with my current mental health, focusing on one little mini and getting it done feels enough. Only got 6 more models to go for the warband now
