Cheers. I was thinking about just getting some eldar or dark eldar bikes and converting those.

Edit: But I didn't.

I have three fleets, all quite large.

Chaos fleet with 1 battleship, 10 or so cruisers, 2 grand cruisers and a bunch of escorts
Ork fleet with 2 battleships, 6 cruisers and either 6 or 8 of each type of escort
Imperial fleet with 1 battleship, 10 or so cruisers, 2 strike cruisers, lots of imperial and marine escorts and an admech light cruiser.

Id be willing to play assuming I could go to the bash.

Of course you can go to the ball Cinderella!

Better start planning now, you can join Rufus as the northern contingent.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

Drat! I narrowly missed out on an Emperor-class battleship... sniped by a higher bid in the last second. Would have been 17 pounds, so pretty amazing price.

Ah well, I am in no hurry.

Why would she not be OK with it?

Your not going whoring to Amsterdam, you're playing toy solider with a load of geeks in Belgium.

Will you start the excuses now please ( in a Richard O'Brien, crystal maze style)

Next your Jag wont make it that far.

Hah no, she lives a fair distance from me, so I only really get to see her on weekends which is why it might cause trouble.
I also no longer have the Jag, because I couldn't afford the petrol bill, now have a much more sensible Focus.

£17 for an Emperor is cheaper than it was retailing at!
My Imperial fleet has an Oberon, as that is my favourite of the Battleships.

Oberon and Emperor don't really seem to be that different - battery strength is the same, 16 broadside (although the Emperor brings all of it to bear at 60cm, while the Oberon needs to be at 45cm), and then it's number of attack craft vs. lances and a bit of a points difference. Both look fine to me!

And if I ever get an Imperial Battleship, it will have to be named "Saint Scythus". Battlefleet Scarus ftw!

Bwaaaaaahahahaha!

I just got 1 Dominator, 2 Dictator and 2 Gothic class cruisers - for 12 pounds, all told. No idea why no one else went for those, but being the only bidder is awesome!

I mostly want the Imperials as an opposing force, when I want to play with someone who doesn't have a fleet. And realistically, Imperials are the most available and affordable of the lot.

I want to make it a good one though. And those cruisers all look like they'll play nice together. Now, add some escorts at some point and some kind of impressive flagship, and it should be fine I think.

...aaand the seller is being a bastard about it. I overlooked he didn't include international shipping and now wants to cancel. As if it made any fucking difference to him whether he sends it to Germany or the UK. Guy is just miffed they went for so cheap is my guess.

Well, here's hoping he relents.

He might be within his rights to cancel, I don't know. It's going through ebay, and I'm appealing to his common sense as well.

Hey, what an awesome idea!!
Finners, you da best. He was just in the process of being a total twatwaffle, moaning it's too complicated to send anything to Germany so he totally can't do it, nothing to do with the low price they went for. Will be nice to cut him off with "all right, fine. Send it to a national address instead."

He might have been within his rights if his page didnt say he shipped internationally.

although he'd probably have to say he DIDNT ship internationally.

hope this works!

Thats because imperials are the sexiest!  Ill share my fleets photos even though noone asked for them

These days I am also playing Firestorm Armada.  Its pretty good too, but not a patch on Gothic.

All right, I'll concede that Imperials are, at the very least, pretty fucking sexy. Sexiest? Khorne won't let me say that.
Nice pics, that's a huge Ork fleet! And if anyone hesitates to post pics because no one asked for them: I hereby do. Officially.

Orks are limited by that ridiculous 6 cruiser limit, so I only bought six.  The majority of the fleet comprises of the escorts, which are pretty cool.  The bigger ork ships are not brilliant IMO.

I have some 13 plastic crusiers in my imperial fleet, plus some marine and admech ones!  My favourite designed fleet and I really enjoyed using them. My chaos fleets a slaanesh one, as is normal for me.  I just dig the purple and brass look.

That's really a massive cruiser force for your Imperial Navy. Hardly any escorts though, or am I missing something? The only ones I see is the squadron of Firestorm frigates. And the Space Marine escorts of course. 3 Dauntless is pretty great, and I love those AdMech ships. I'd really like to have an AdMech Battleship. Those are soo pretty!
