You get -1 attack on the charge but strike at I10 so ensure that you always get your hits in.

It's pretty much the same output when you take the reroll into account. At least close enough that if I don't take WW in my grand army I'd consider it. Higher potential spike though on WW, and he's still i9

I'm just think that ASF is I10 so this way your grandmaster can't be killed before he gets to strike by ASF nonsense

In my opinion Fiery heart is better. White Wolf is only for the attack. Fiery heart is a package that is overall good.

I7 is a lot better than I6, its quite the few with I6 but not with 7. I10 makes you strike at the same time as Strikes first characters like elves. Its also more reliable with the Counter charge. Sometimes the enemy just move up to you 1" away. I +1I can help (and the White wolf don’t get furious charge).
The rerolls are worse then the extra attack, but only if he gets the extra attack. It does happen that you don’t get the furious charge. So overall its about the same.
5+ Ward vs flaming rarely comes up. So with the Fiery hearts Hatred. Hatred wizards is almost always relevant in theory at least.

However If you like to play with Normal knights as the White wolf you have to play with a White wolf Grand master. So in that case is good with White wolf. Fiery heart is better on Inner circle knights to bust enemy knights. But taking Inner circle knights in the first place is not the first choice for many. I like them tho.

I like inner circle knights as well. I take 6 which can cause a lot of problems.

I prefer Fiery Heart because of its reroll 1s to hit and to wound. Initiative is nice, but not his strongest point.

The grand master had re-rolls due to magic items though

You spend the magic points on different things then get rerolls. Like Ogre blade/Hammer of Righteousness and 5+ ward.

I'm wondering on the maths of the Ogre Blade v dragons v the dragon slaying sword v dragons. obviously the dragon slaying sword ignores armour and regen which is a reasonably big deal against a triple save dragon and only needs 1 6 during the to wound roll to give you a 2/3 chance of killing the dragon.

On the other hand the Ogre Blade is good against non dragon  things as well like dragon ogres etc
