We had 15" of snow earlier this week. What sucked is that it started as rain, then slushy snow, then actual snow. Awesome for building snow forts, snowmen, etc. Also awesome at making the snowblower not work, so I had to shovel all that heavy, wet crap out of the driveway. Then, just as I'm walking to my car to leave for a curbside grocery pickup (ordered two days earlier, when it was like 50 degrees), the snow plow comes down the street and completely blocks me in the driveway. And that plow snow was twice as heavy/bad. I think my back has finally recovered.

Daydreaming of moving to Texas...

We got 14 inches of snow last Wed. into Thurs.   Some folks in New England got wacked with 3 feet or more.  Fortunately it was the light fluffy stuff, and so the shoveling wasn't as bad as it would be with the wet stuff.

Today it is snowing again.

'Cold' Christmas in my region. By that, i mean there is a slightly cool breeze.

We still got snow on the ground, and in mounds on the edges of the roads and parking lots, although it is suppose to rain heavy tonight after midnight and wash a good bit of it away.

Updated: We currently have about 15" of snow, supposed to get an additional 8”-16” by tomorrow morning.

I like that we have a white Christmas, but I am NOT looking forward to clearing the driveway.

I hear ya!  Already too much clearing for one year.  Suspect there will be more.

Heard ya might get some snow west of here, we are getting a bunch of rain!

It is so warm here, I opened the windows to get a cross breeze going and fresh air into the place before the temperatures all go to below freezing soon.

Snow still falling, but not heavy. However, the wind is starting to kick up and due to the geography here, that may mean additional snow tonight. (FYI: https://www.weather.gov/safety/winter-lake-effect-snow )

There was some snow in the mountains and in Maine to the north, and we just got a lot of rain and wind off the back side.

We had one day of snow this weekend. And we enjoyed it! But yesterday it was already gone. And the coming weeks it will rain everyday...

So far the new year has been relatively snowless here, and the temperatures have remained above freezing during the days, below freezing at night.  The consistency of the weather pattern is what has been seeming to stick out the most and that isn't the norm around here.

Looks like a third of the U.S. is getting wacked with the current snow storm from the midwest to the northeast.

Yeah they're calling on snow for the next few days here, I think they're projecting over a foot of snow. All this snow has had one big side effect. Its a constant reminder to my daughters that the Frozen movies exist.
 :closed-eyes:

We've seen all the movies and shorts, even the Olaf shorter shorts on youtube. I know I should just let it go but I'd rather we go Into the Unknown and watch something else.

Can they be separated into a safe zone for Frozen watching? :icon_wink:

They're 1 and 2 years old, there is no safe zone.
