No. We need wizards. How would this place be without Dendo and Warlord?

But yeah, priests and arch lectors need better stats.

I admit that GW is not very good at consistency.

I think that WP ought to be treated just like normal characters, except they have innate bound spells. That's quite consistent with how they play out, they aren't really wizards.

I think the FAQ regarding their 'RIP' prayers is incorrect, frankly, and leads to confusion.

Sorry for the threadomancy, but regarding the rulebook statement of "usually a wizard is referred to as someone who can cast spells" or something: he doesn't cast the spells. Our holy lord Sigmar does, he just prays to the lord to do so.

By the way the reasoning for taking the scrolls would be that he would be considered a wizard and therefore be able to take arcane items

Which wouldn't that be better with the RoP anyways?

I was really hoping this thread would have died by now but since it hasn't, I'll offer a little more fuel for the fire....

Sorry for the threadomancy, but regarding the rulebook statement of "usually a wizard is referred to as someone who can cast spells" or something: he doesn't cast the spells. Our holy lord Sigmar does, he just prays to the lord to do so.

Assuming Sigmar casts the spells for the priests; then Sigmar is a wizard.
Sigmar is not a member of the Colleges of Magic.
The Cult of Sigmar hunts down wizards not practicing magic according to the teachings of the Colleges of Magic.

So we can all look forward to an 8th edition Empire book where the Cult of Sigmar and Colleges of Magic have declared Sigmar a heretic and burned the entire land to the ground along with it's people for worshipping a foul sorcerer.   ::heretic::

Any of you Sigmarites want to convert to the Cult of Ulric before it's too late?  :::cheers:::

@ Laerniss: You assume too much. GW can't follow logic that clear.

@ JohnWayne: Chuck Norris. Because he has a beard.
Dude, relax, it is a game with little plastic men.

Maybe Chuck Norris IS Sigmar....
One for all you conspiracy theorists.
I feel my signature should say something witty and urbane, to indicate that I'm a stylish and elegant man. But I'm not. So it doesn't.
Instead it just says 'willies.'
Willies.
See? Told you.

Chuck Norris has a beard
Sigmar has chesthair :)

Ever since computerspecialists came into existence, chesthair ranks higher on the scale of manliness than any kind of facial hair.
Still, I think John Wayne would win. Because he has a gun.

Sigmar needs a hammer.

Chuck Norris does not.

Nuff said.
