I only just noticed (honest) that there's no need to label this photo taken at the start of our epic walk today from Pocklington in the East Riding of Yorkshire!

It was epic in the sense that after three-and-a-half miles Ruth and the boys collapsed in the village of Millington. I then had to walk three-and-a-half miles back to Pocklington on my own (in the heat that had already finished off my family) in order to get the car to rescue them. Luckily, an old lady came out as I left them, offering to refill their water bottles. Stupidly I didn't refill mine, which made for a strict rationing regime as the walk got tougher. The last drops of water I drank were actually hot!

Ruth had a touch of heat stroke. I am proud to say I went twice as far, but I survived due to the very clever idea of wearing a hat. I am a genius.

For Halloween this year, my daughter has been obsessed with Sailor Moon, so for Halloween we went Trick or Treating as Sailor Moon characters. My oldest was Sailor Moon, my youngest Sailor Mercury, my wife was Sailor Venus, and myself as Tuxedo Mask (if you're not familiar with the show, its basically power rangers without the giant robots, Tuxedo Mask is the Green Ranger of the group).

My oldest and I wore masked and did the trick or treating. My wife and youngest stayed home to hand out candy. I made a candy chute so they can maintain social distancing. One of my neighbors loved it so much that when we passed his house on our way back he opened his window and told me how much he loved it. He live streamed it to his wife he was so excited. In MA it snowed Oct 30th so there is snow on the ground that covered up most of the Halloween lights I put out.
