« on: August 02, 2008, 01:00:19 PM »
Ok, well I just wanted to throw it out there that I and a friend of mine will be organizing a Mordheim campaign in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  It will meet monthly and for most of the day, If anyone in the are is interested, or thinks they would like to commute (if it's close enough) just let me know, All will be welcome and I will post any further information as it becomes available, thanks.

If you think you can handle that you're always welcome, but damn man driving a couple days might not be worth it :biggriin:

Haha, yeah, I am beginning to think the same. But dammit I would love to do a mordheim campaign. I love small fast battles with a story line. That was why I used to play LotR in the progression league at my local GW. After getting smoked in my first battle by dwarves I didn't lose a single game. Gondor for the win.

yeah it's a fun game and one that can really be played in a campaign format without too much fuss, We're doing a narrative campaign, using the Empire in Flames campaign rules, alliances and backstabbing will abound :biggriin:

Mordheim or skirmish is ALWAYS worth it...

Which factions will be participating?

An Irishman is liable to beat someone up for a thing like that, and then tell them they don't know what hardships are as the person lies unconscious on the bar room floor.

Hmm, I have a shirt that says "Sex me! I'm Irish." Cause I am. But anywho. Sorry King, didn't realize it was a Flogging Molly song, I absolutely-flippin love them to death. But that is still pretty goddamn, emo. Not gonna take that part back.

So anything with a sad overtone to it is considered emo?

No, but "today is the worst day since yesterday." Seriously? Like, what could be more emo than that? The whole "every day sucks" seems pretty emo to me...

The word has been thrown around so much that I don't think people know what it's true meaning is, and I don't even know how to classify it.  Just wondered what you considered to be emo.

I agree with Wiss, everything is emo nowadays.

I bang on the door but you won't let me in,
'cause you're sick and tired of me reeking of gin.
Locked all the doors from the front to the back,
And left me a note telling me I should pack.

Oh no it's emo!

I walk in the bar and the fella's all cheer,
They order me up a whiskey and beer.
You ask me why I'm writing this poem,
Some call it a tavern but I call it home.
Frick, I'm drunk
Frick, I'm drunk
Pour my beer down the sink I've got more in the trunk.

No it's not :::cheers:::.

Actually, no. Emo is a type of music that comes from the Washington D.C. area and traveled straight from the East Coast to the West Coast without touching the center of the country, where it picked up a lot of momentum in Nor Cal, the Bay Area, and L.A. Once on the West Coast it evolved into Screamo, or Screaming Emo.

Wow, this really started a emo situation here. actually I missed that whole on a good day "I'm sad" and on a bad day "Oh I'm so sad!", besides I don't think they'd have me, I'm a large bearded Irish American who many think of as a bear, Now an emo bear that would just be disturbing!  we would need an awfully lot of makeup :biggriin:
But as far as Mordheim goes, it's going to be great, all the rulebook warbands and most posted on the mordheimer will be allowed, all are welcome if they can make it, should be a great time :::cheers:::

Hey King,

Greetings from Indianapolis!  Where in FW do you play?

If you're ever in the Indy area on a Thursday night stop off at the Game Preserve in Greenwood and visit the Never-ending Mordheim Campaign (every Thursday give or take a few since '01) from 6-9 pm.

I also recommend the Nemesis Campaign scenarios if you are doing Empire In Flames.  We're in Mordheim for the next 6 weeks or so.  Then we've been kicking around the Relics of the Crusades setting...

Go Colts!

thanks for the heads up Van Kurst, I'll keep it is mind, we're getting a game around for Books Comics and Things on State blvd.  I've been wanting to use the Nem. Crown campaign setting, some of the warbands surrounding it though are incomplete, I myself wanted to use the Imperial gunnery school, but the price of the young guns are left blank and I don't think it's fair to wing it, I've been looking for official clarification, but I appreciate the invitation......Oh yeah and GO BEARS!!!!!! :biggriin:
