DAMMIT STEG YOU BEAT ME TO IT!!!!! AHHHH! I just saw the trailer on youtube and it was so awesome!

I was hoping it would go back to the older editions type of play but I understand this is more "new user friendly."

There’s been one thing we’ve been asked for more than anything else in the last three years (aside from the Lion riding a Thunderhawk): “Can my digital codex come bundled with my print version?” Well, Noble Hobbyist, yes. Yes it can. Whenever you buy a 9th edition codex, you’ll get the digital rules for that codex in the app for free.

from that community link..

Don't get to hyped. Its a long running joke from before even Guillieman was released. Someone made a one line joke that the Lion would come back riding a plastic Thunderhawk, and since then they've inserted it everywhere.

I was considering learning 8th Edition, but now that they are switching to 9th ... anyone know when this is starting?

Now I realize that Mids and Padre claimed I was using CGI to show them the infamous mounted crossbows (I blame it on their eyesight waning at this stage of life, like mine), but there's no way I conjured up a whole game with Midaski in front of Artoban, Padre, and 023 without multiple folks talking about such a great and momentous occasion at much length.  Padre was even wearing glasses used from the 17th century, and Padre even got out his flea scope from the same error. Nothing, no game, nada ... but ... maybe someday.  We were all creating and painting though. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

Love the judicar and whatever it’s fluff is going to be. Love those necrons  as well. I think the necrons are gonna win. Period.
I’m feeling the draw to be pulled in again.  Damn GW and it’s toys.

I don't know ... those new Necrons are looking suspiciously like advanced Ossiarch Bonedudes. :icon_mrgreen:

And the Judicar ... his shoulder plate, sheesh, it looks suspiciously like a Stromrcrud trooper.  See, I new the Stormcrud dudes were really Chaos incarnate, not Sigmar's chosen.  And looks at this ... Stormcrud troopers, Judicars, hmmm ... Stormcrud Justicators!  All the Judicar needs now is a missile weapon, like maybe a lightning bow, or some such. :icon_rolleyes:

Oh, so is 40K turning to big models?  Don't tell me I have to have them to play.

Eh, not particularly. Big monsters and vehicles are certainly powerful but you can do without them. My guard army does pretty good and I only use one tank in it. Its very much you get what you pay for points wise. Big giant primarch is going to be powerful, but also a giant easy to shot target.

In fact right now some of the most powerful units are individual captains with jump packs because they can quickly move around the board and smash things.

The gravis armour the Judicar wears used the same size shoulderplates Aggressors wear, which are Terminator ones. If anything they look less ridiculous than the old models which were way out of proportion.

Just recent;y unpacked a bunch of 40K models and figures, mostly Orks, yet so many projects are currently calling my name, got to prioritize!

I am not a big fan of primaris marines, but I am liking the new range of sisters. I am a little sad that GW is retiring the Necron green rods, which was always iconic for them since their models were first introduced. I am sure there will be 3rd party bits people can get, but just feels like an end of an era you know?
