This video shows the immenseness of the area over the course of the reporter's hike, and then the drone video shot moving towards the volcanic crater and then over top of it is quite amazing.

I strongly encourage watching the last several minutes that video at a minimum.

That drone footage is interesting because the person flying it halts the drone as it reaches the crater, and then decides to navigate around it rather than over it, perhaps wise now that the volcano is erupting again.

And interestingly the lava is flowing out into the valley beyond, and at the same time, into the crater itself. Amazing stuff!

After lava has now begun flowing again from a crack in the side of the volcano, it is now slowly filling the crater, and meanwhile lava flows from another point away from the main crater ... the views of the volcano area from the drone footage throughout this video are quite good ...

Valur is back at it in Iceland filming at the new fissure that opened up northeast of last year's eruption.

This has occurred after there were reportedly over 10,000 earthquakes/tremors since last Saturday in Iceland.

This new fissure is being said to be 5 times more powerful than last year's situation.

Europe’s most active volcano, Mt. Etna was erupted on Sunday. The volcano issued forth a lot of ash, and it spewed down on to Catania, eastern Sicily’s largest city, and no injuries were reported.
