The Red Lances of Ostermark is a secular order, devoted to the defense of Ostermark´s borders. They operate all over the land, wherever need is dire and cold steel is the only hope. From the Dead Wood in the south to Fortenhof in the north, they ride from hazard to hazard without rest. The order does not have a big, permanent base in a city or fortress, but rahter small keeps in every major town; though their Grandmaster often resides at the court in Bechafen with a strong host.
The Red Lances are the heroes of travellers, since they help keep roads and river ways safe from foul creatures, and carries news and letters to and fro.
Most of the time they ride in small groups of 8-12, but when war is stirring the order gathers in full force and is always seen in the front lines.
It is unclear why they are called the Red Lances. It probably has something to do with blood.  :biggriin:

 Hi,
This is my knight panther. He is made from combining an old knight panther torso with various components from the brettonian knights of the realm box.

I present High Brother Hildric Eharhardt, Defender of the word of Sigmar and Prophet of Ostermark.

Brother Eharhardt rides into battle accompanied with a splinter group of the Knights of Morr.  This unusual pairing originated in the southern wilds of the 'mark fighting against hordes of the undead that had wandered North from the Cursed realm of Sylvania.  The Knights fight to put down the beasts that defy Morr's control of the beyond while Brother Eharhardt seeks to bring the light of Sigmar to these darkened lands.  He wields the Might of Mordheim, a Great Warhammer that survived that city's destruction.  While each disagrees with the beliefs of the other, they have accepted that by working together they can banish the blight that is these unholy monsters from the lands of the Empire.

So here he is my Warrior Priest of Ulric (on foot), my entry for the painting competition of June.

The scheme is mostly derived from the mounted Warrior Priest of Ulric showed in the Storm of Chaos campaign book.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

Harsh judging this month, partly due to our "softie judge" being on holiday.

This months 1st July Painting contest entry after an absence due to marriage and honeymoon!

''Anatoly Krakoff'' ; Kislev Young Blood Wolf Pack Initiate.

To join the ranks of the experienced Wolf Pack Handlers you must first undergo a gruelling ordeal, 7 days and nights in the snow covered mountains, fighting off wilder beasts , with only your Wolf and your Sabre to get you through!

Some men each year never return, lost to the cold, or mauled by feral beasts in the night!

Every man comes home with mental scars, but those who are successful, make the ranks of the ''Wolf Pack'' , amongst the bravest units of the Kislev townships.

They are often deployed by cunning Kislev generals to scout ahead of the forward line, and engage small enemy units, sniffing out enemy scouts, and setting their Wolves charging an opponent, then following in with a deadly strike from their Sabre Swords!

Ask yourself , what is real? 5 sense filtered reality is a very limited perspective.

Here is the very first of the Stirland Rangers.

'The Dwarfs of Zhufbar, the hold of engineering, found that there needed to be more trade in the empire.  The dwarven rangers trained by the famous Stirland river gaurd, Drive trade between Zhufbar and Stirland, from stirland, other tradesmen bring it all around the empire,'
