Wargames Factory making plastic Historical Models
ZeroTwentythree:
If you don't want to "pay through the nose" for GW figures, and are looking forward to playing games that don't require "official" miniatures, then why not buy alternative fantasy miniatures and play WFB anyway?
Not that I'd discourage you from historicals, Warhammer or otherwise, and I've got to admit I'm looking forward to seeing the Wargames Factory figures in production.
Grutch:
When they make plastic Landsknechts we can all celebrate. :biggriin:

Cool! I've always wanted a roman unit in my army, in fact I originally wanted an entire roman army, but didn't get to it.
Donnachaidh:
Warlord Games (http://www.warlordgames.co.uk/) are just about to release a range of Early Imperial Romans and Ancient Britons.
They are helmed by GW (ex GW??) peeps
--- Quote ---John Stallard is best known as author of the Warhammer Historical: English Civil Wars rules. Whilst this period is one of his passions he’s probably better described as someone to whom history is an opportunity to play with as many different armies as possible. John’s gaming room is any wargamers dream - unlike his Timmy Mallett shirt…
Paul Sawyer was editor of Games Workshop’s White Dwarf magazine for many years. With an unhealthy love for World War II wargaming he can often be found lovingly stroking models of Jagdpanthers…

Obi:
Yeah, I believe they were mentioned in another thread. They look awesome!
