Hi new here.
Couldn't resist getting the Empire General. First time painting a huge amount of clean metal. Wonder why is there a robo-cherub?
Cheers.

Nice work. Its a new theme they have with the gears and such. Did you use tungsten or florescent bulb for the pic?

Welcome to the site MrChaos, and a spectacular entry you make (much different from that drizzle of chaos guy, Argon or something).
Superb painting, I really like the skin on the cherub, well done. As you seem to be a high quality painter I'll be more nitpicky in my comments and say that the design on the cloak doesn't seem to fit exactly with the folds, then again that may just be the photo.
I hope you have far more of this kind of work to share with us in the future.

Welcome MrChaos: really nice model there: i esp like the range of colours you've picked, colourful but muted. Very cool. Now where's the rest of the army?!

Very impressed! Can't wait to see more, in fact. As to the saleability, a paint job of this standard would go for major cash, BUT, there doesn't seem to be much of a market for Empire stuff, judging by eBay of late...

Nice to see you've made it over from warseer!
Nice detailing with the reins and the filligrie on the armour but I have to argree with BAWTRM on the freehand on the back of the cloak, the image doesnt seem to fit with the folds. I also noticed a mould line on the blue feather (sorry to sound nitpicky but when I spot things like that on my mini's once I've finished them it bugs the life out of me until I sort it
) but otherwise its a great job!
I'm not a fan of the idea of mechanical cherubs in fantasy, it all looks a little too 40k rather than fantasy to me so I personally wont be including anything like that, I prefer the crazy but relatively crude technology of the rest of the Empire's wonderful inventions!
Welcome to the forums and keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Dante

Impressive!
I have tried this one myself, and if I had a hat I would take it off.

Here's the next one.
''The super cool badass Dark Angel rip-off Battle Standard Bearer''. I gave him the panther cloak from the Emprie Knights sprue.

great. just great stuff you got there.
Quite sombre looking army. I like it. Will you follow the nuln look?
I`m used to dark armies and really like them (ULthwe eldar in 40 k and nuln empire in fantasy)
Well done again

Liking these a lot, though that long streamer on the banner is crying out for some detail work, either over or instead of the red/white. Also, I find the foot model's pose, assembled without conversion, a bit too static, and also think the griffon obscures the model a bit much. But these could just be me...

I have to agree, I'm not a fan of the "on foot" general model, the legs look almost unrealistically static, setting a tone for the mini as a whole. The baby griffon just seems like such an odd idea to me too, why would you take such a thing anywhere near the field of battle until it would be of any use?!
Good looking paintjob, just not a fan of the model unconverted.
Cheers,
Dante

the griffin is there to cover up the horrible modeling job don't on the legs, all the fancy crap GW uses to make a decent model and they still can't do it^^. Anyway love the paint job, wish mine would turn out that good!
