middenheim warband, first few models
« on: March 29, 2007, 12:16:24 PM »
Mordheim season has begun at my local gaming club :-D, so that means a new mordheim warband! So I decided to go for middenheim. Here a the first 2 models, the rest coming very soon.

My Captain

I'm really happy how this one worked out using mainly only boltgun metal, chestnut ink, black ink, blue ink and chainmail

First Swordsman

Tried a few new things on this one, mainly beginning with scorged brown and then highlighting it to skull white was the longest but most saticfing job .

any form of comments are welcome  :-).

PS they are not based because I am out of PVA glue......

Really nice work! :icon_biggrin:
I am working on a middenheim army, but you are far ahead of me in means of painting skills!
I use a more "light" scheme with not so dark colours but thats probably different from person to person.

Good job, nice kitbashing job with the swordsman, integrating the new sprues with some elements of the older ones.
Paintjob is nice and gritty and I'm sure that when the bases are done they will look even better.

Something you may want to think about changing is the 'Sigmar' freehand on the shield.

As I'm sure no end of people will tell you here - Middenland is 'Ulric' territory, and going around with Sigmars name splashed over your clobber would probably get you a good kicking!

thnx :icon_biggrin:. Meh I like darker colours much more than light. I simply hate working with colours like grey and white, but I simply love khaki  :-). I also generally always start with the darkest tone of a colour, so for example anything brownish I start with scorged brown.
The other swordsmen I will probably be able to improve a bit better, I've got a box foundation paints coming really soon and thus get better coverage at some parts of the model.

@bogenhafen: I've ordered a reeeeeeealy big bag with ulric and middenheim parts  :-P, zo most of my army will look kinda like the swordsman. And the sigmar text.....well it's more like a pun for a rival warband of a friend of mine....which consist out of witchhunters .

thnx for the replies  :icon_biggrin:.
