Cheers as ever  :::cheers:::

Well I can get by in Tolkien Elvish *did I just type that out loud? oh . . .  :eusa_wall:*

It's for a friend (isn't that what they all say . . . ) he's the only elf in a dwarf guild and they all call him "elgi" or something and he wants to return the favour.

Cheers anyway  :-D

Why not just make something up?

Or tell them to stop being idiots and use real words when they talk?

Can't he just call them fuckers or something?

making fun of someone else playing a MMorpger is kinda like making fun of someone else for playing warhammer, while you are playing them.

I imagine fuckers is eminently acceptable - possible the slightly classier Irish variant of fockers.

He just asked me as he knows I'm quite the geek but I was stumped.

And hey! Being bilingual is important. Even if your second language was made up by a pipe-smoking-real-ale-appreciating-accademic.

I would say to tell them they're being pretentious gits, if that didn't automatically sound hypocritical coming from an elf...

Well, on the fact that Human is spelled Mon-Keigh, I guess dwarf is something near Shor-Thug-Ley. Or Hai-rĂ½mole.

I don't know what the Tar-Eltharin word for "dwarf" is, I don't remember it ever coming up.

There are two Quenya versions (Tolkien High Elvish) which are Naugrim meaning "stunted people" and Gonnhirim - "masters of stone". Needless to say one was more complimentary than the other.

Brain wounder: for when you don't want to kill your enemies, just leave them bedridden and pissing themselves.
