Which rulebook?

Is there any relevant difference between the mini rulebook that comes with Island of Blood and the normal hardback one?  Or is the only difference $50?

The small one is also missing some storyline scenarios. Nothing you can't live without though.

Doesn't the big one have some mistakes in the back "quick summary" section of the rules?
The reason for my uniform being a slightly different color to yours is never explained.
