The idea is to show that you have a good sense of humor and to figure out if she's serious or just testing you.

I'm still painting in the conservatory, we finally have less than 36 degrees now and despite a thunderstorm going on, that was the view out of window about five minutes ago ... I tried to capture the thunderbolt on the pic, too, but didn't manage to ... but look at that pic, isn't that awesome?

I stand my ground. I suppose having rumors of me being an ex convict would not be bad, in case I have a misunderstanding in the forums.

In reality traveling + studies have kept me away from my parents (5-15+ hours by airplane) for the last 6 or so years, but normally we meet every year or so. This is the longest so far.
