The Army of Cathay Empire (Jan. 1st, The general finished)
« on: June 08, 2008, 06:53:24 AM »
These days, I wanted to make some Cathay soldiers to enforce my empire army. I choose the style of Ming Dynasty in Chinese history. The below is an old painting of Ming cavalry.

Liu you sexy beast! You are making me teary eyed at these models! Perry miniatures are the only blokes that have done good 28/35mm fantasy scale Asian models (Japanese and Koreans to be exact); but these guys look great!

Please make tonnes of updates!

Thank you, King and soju. It's a long time after my empire army finished. I made some other minis such as VC, BoC and 40k. But the human of empire is always the lovest one for me. So I am back with new Cathay minis. The China has a long history which is filled with legends and heroes. I want to show you a little of it. Wish you like.

Damn straight I'm going to like. I saw your other armies on Warseer - you're seriously one talented fella.

You could even have those hopping zombies hahaha... but anyways, I can't wait for any infantry models you'll be doing.

Most people I know don't impress me but...

 :icon_eek:

There is only one army I would die for like I do for Empire (over reaction please...), and that is a Cathay one (made from GW stuff).

I officially hate yer guts (from pure jealousy).

WOW, I second the request for the jaw-dropping smiley. These minis are so cool!  :eusa_clap:

I always dreamed about cathayan army, even tried to write rules for it. If only I had such sculpting skills...

By the way, I see you are using Zvezda infantry bits. Am I right?

Good looking miniatures, but wouldn't it be easier and less time consuming using the miniatures from the Perry Twins or so?

The freehand paintings are also just wonderful. I love the womans dress.

By the way, what material do you use for modeling?
