Steve's Army of the Moot
« on: February 24, 2013, 08:08:55 PM »
I am putting together a Moot army, love the theme and thanks to all the members of this forum who have pointed me in the direction of some good places to start the model collection.

Anyway, to kick it off here are my first 7 Handgunners with champ:

Great start   :eusa_clap:

*waits for more*
Then make three times that. It should be enough for half the roof Glue
You could certainly amass quite a collection of testicles

Where did you get the models, or did you convert them yourself?

Very nicely done.
How are you going to make spearmen or swordsmen? :::cheers:::

Very nice!

From what I understand creating an army of the Moot is a personality disorder,

you need to be careful , it has lasting impact psychologically

one guys I knew collected and painted hundreds of hobbits, then started talking about adopting midget twins  :eusa_wall:
Ask yourself , what is real? 5 sense filtered reality is a very limited perspective.

Nice lighting, and a nice figure.

Hope you don't mind the constructive critique, but the fire should usually be in the reverse order: white-yellow-orange-red from the inside out. White is the hottest color, where the wood on the torch is burning... further away from the combustion, the outermost edges of the flames are cooler, and so are red.

Lots of people do it that way, so you're in good company, and it /is/ fantasy, so whatever? I just I just thought you might like to know ;)

It's not often to see halflings army, congrats on the choice. The figs look great, I like you decision, that they are not wearing uniforms, but rather stay in civilian clothes. That will make them more colorfull   and will be more appealing to paint.  :eusa_clap:

I would like to point out, that the first guy on the left has a rifle in the shape of a noodle, which won't do him any good, except when hunting mice and rats.  :engel:

Excellent work. You made a good use of that fence on the movement tray, it tells the story without spoiling  the whole image.
