Yes all ten terminators have been made with thunder hammers.  When I play against marines the only unit I dont want to fight in combat are hammer terminators.  Lightning claws can be killed too easily and offer no threat vs dreads etc which feature heavily in my gaming environment.  Monsters also can often kill normal terminators fairly easily, but will often avoid a unit of hammers.

Yes, but you can pick who gets hit with what.  I give hammer shields the its that AP2 and everything else goes to the claws.  The claws are better against anything T4 or 3 and get more attacks with the ability to reroll those wounds.  I see both as really important to a strong CC army.  That said, there is something great about a unit of all hammerers.

I like the look of all hammers too Philly.  You also play as BTs, they get better claw termies due to furious charge and army wide preferred enemy!

I built the unit to fulfill a particular role.  I want to use them to engage expensive big monsters, elite infantry with power weapons, dreads and tanks rather than cheap fodder type units.

Thats true too!  Being able to reroll those misses and wounds makes them very useful.  Getting 3 attacks is a nice bump.

Its only the fact the BTs don't have a 5th edition book that stops me from playing as Green Templars  :-D

Hopefully I will get a unit fully painted this weekend.  That is my target, although since I haven't painted a single marine yet for this army in green, I have no real idea on time scales involved.

Slippers and socks.  You know things you wear on your feet rufus   I know you are from the UK, so there shouldn't be any confusion what footwear items they might be!   :-D

That said my work shoes have a dark green tinge to them now in a certain light.  I was spraying in a shed that connects to my kitchen last night and it seems that it went all over my shoes but not so that it was obvious.  I will have to clean my entire kitchen for the third time in two days tonight to try to get the pigment out of it.

On the plus side every single model that needs to be dark green is now basecoated dark green.  Even if I have to spend hours cleaning my kitchen I should still be in credit in hours spent working.

Sorry, I was just surprised you wear slippers! I can understand the socks (though I don't wear them myself) but I didn't think you were old enough for slippers!

Bad luck about the engreening of everything, but at least your models are well on the way to being finished.

I have some simpsons slippers   :-)http://thlog.com/homer-simpsons-slippers/

My kitchen has stone tiles and my dining area has a wooden floor.  Its freezing to walk on them without shoes or slippers  :-D

I think its just the particular can I had, as I have used black, white, red and silver spray without any such issues before in the past.  It could be the cold weather, or the can, unsure which.

I also wear slippers because of hard floors downstairs. You're in the minority it seems james.

My plan is to get at least one unit painted this weekend, since its four days long.  It may be just my custom master of the forge with conversion beamer, scouts I will never use, or my first tactical squad.  I will try to get photos up of anything I paint too!

After four attempts at mopping, I am fairly sure that the green paint has been removed.  Of course if I go in my shed I suspect it will be terrible still, and I guess I will find out when I go into my back garden to cut my grass, providing the weather is at least reasonable.

I don't wear slippers.  They are goofy as hell.  Real men go barefoot.

My house is cold because I can't afford heating if I buy plastic models  :-D  Therefore its a cheaper investment to have slippers on  :-D

Haven't I seen you wear sandals during the Dutch GTs?

My first squad is now painted.  It is just drying now, so hopefully I will get chance to do some photos tomorrow.

Im pretty quick when I get going!  Squad 2 is pretty much completed, which is made from all m6 beakies.  They just need basing and transfers doing.  Both squads need a matt varnish spray yet, so apologies that this unit has shiny shoulder pads, thats the gloss varnish.

That squad looks excellent!

Have you painted a black bit on the end of the bolters so it looks like there's a hole for the bullets to come out? It doesn't look like it, but I'm not sure.

Looking good. The insignia looks great, somerthing I value.
On a constructive advice front.
The vet sergeant: the rope could do with either a differnet wash or painting a similar but different colour to excentuate it. The helmet lens has smudged.
The plasma cannon: the barrel need painting black
The bolter: could do with drilling out the barrels. Simple and effective.
Purity seals: could do with some script. Looks very effective.

The red has come out really well, highlights make it feel really warm.
The only thing for me is the mould lines visible on a lot of the marines.

The master of the forge also looks a little bland. For the chief techmarine of the chapter and a recluse that spend all his time tinkering his armour is very plain. Is there anything you can detail him with.
