one of my pet peeves is noobs trying to use BiN prices when negotiating a private sale.

Fuck off, your Custodian is NOT worth 170 quid, i don't care what the BiN price is
I don't care about the rules.

Pass the machete.

Because if it's still listed BIN at that price, nobody has bought it.

A little rant about selling on ebay:

It is much worse than I remembered it to be! I normally only use ebay for buying things (I have only sold 2-3 items in 12 years) and wanted to start selling some Warhammer stuff on ebay.co.uk (because it's the only market that makes sense in Europe). It turns out that I can only do so with my ebay.at account if I have sold 10 items in my own country. (I could ofcourse make an account on another ebay site and start selling there straight away - that's OK for ebay, but the other thing isn't).

Good thing that ebay.at doesn't offer special deals like the 20plus package that other ebay portals offer. Now I have to sell some rubbish for 1€ each to get my sales up, which is not worth my time at all. The ebay fees have increased quite a bit since the last time I have checked, to the point where I almost have to consider them to be an insolence. There are so many bugs in the system and the site; I don't know how many times I get asked to log in again for no reason. And everything is so slow, especially trying to upload a god damn picture! What should take like 5 seconds, takes up to a minute and every 2nd time requires 2 attempts to be successful! Why? And if things aren't bad enough already, then comes paypal. It's great for buying things, but when you need it for selling in combination with ebay, things get ugly. And the fees are quite significant as well, especially for smaller amounts.

What have I gotten myself into here ...

You might not be able to tell from the mobile page link, but when show listed with other items, this is on sale, marked down from 9m $100.00 to $99.95. Attention bargain hunters, have we got an amazing deal for you!

It's a resin giant, originally retailed for ~$130.  I couldn't find it on Black Scorpion's website, so I assume it's discontinued.

A pretty nice sculpt, actually.

Hmm, well knocked down to $100 BIN isn't too bad after all then IMO; especially if it's in mint or near-mint condition.

It's a beautiful sculpt. I was just mocking the $0.05 discount.

Yeah, the eBay seller was selling for $100.00 but have marked the price as being lowered to $99.95.

I'm going to keep an eye on this one. If it hits $99.90, I might buy.

(Actually, I seriously have wanted that giant, and a festival others, for a while...)

So why you complaining!

Well there are some really old GW elementals on SOL that if you painted them right would look a little bit like this...

For a change of pace, I thought I'd mention that I actually won two auctions that I'm pretty happy with, recently.  :-D

One was for a 3rd ed. hardbound rulebook that was in even better condition than described, and at half the price of every other listing I've seen. (Unfortunately, I found the book I already had, but thought was lost, a couple days after bidding... so now I have two. But I think I'm OK with that due to the almost pristine condition of the new one!) The other was for some of the older skeletons. I needed to add some more to the ones I already have. These were listed in the "Other" category, so presumably no one saw them. Plus, it was an actual auction, rather than an unreasonably high "Buy it Now."

Did you notice that seller is from Singapore?  Odds those are all recasts?  :icon_confused:

The one Halberdier I looked at seems legit - I compared him to my metal greatswords.....

If they are they ar very good, judging by the pictures. Including the original base tabs.

plus I wouldn't mind a good recast if it meant getting a jester for less than €230.
Those models are unreleased so I have less of an issue with it. same goes for OOP models.

I don't really care that they are recast when they are OOP, I  just wish people could know that upfront.  Folks may just bid because they want an original 'OOP' mini but if it is not original, then the value should be adjusted appropriately, regardless of the quality.

So you would like people to advertise that they are selling illegal knock-offs when that is the case?

Yeah, kind of can't do that.  I am not a fan of recasts, but when they are OOP I can see the allure.  Not thinking GW gives a crap.
