I'm hoping to try out using 2 cameras.  Might even be able to show all the Perry figures I've put together in the last 30 days, but we'll see.

I am heading out to deal with a 10am issue.  Sending an email to folks first who have signed up for the Greet and Paint today.

As previously mentioned ... the meeting won't be activated until 10:30am!  See ya then.

Hoping to get on about 4, so 11 at your end GP.

Not sure what happened. Zoom froze up on me and I got a notification that my "internet connection is unstable."

Good to meet up with everyone again!

Had that several times as well in that almost an hour I was online this afternoon, this evening I didn't had that problem.

But as I discussed with GP as this is a one in a few times thing that needs to be setup in advance, I am now looking into getting a Discord channel up and running for this kind of stuff then you can just see if anyone is on and chat in one of the groups or even go into one of the voice groups, I think it even has video but need to test that one out.

If you got a Discord name just post or pm me and I'll add ya.
Also very easy to just take a snap picture with your phone with it and put it up in one of the channels so you can show your work on the fly.

It is unfortunate that 023 dropped and SKS had an issue when he was first on.  I recall having an issue the first time we ran with one of these and I had to move to a different setup before my issue disappeared last time.  However, same initial set up this time, and no issue here.

Also ... wow, what a wonderful time, thank you gentlemen.  It was great to see folks' various miniatures and hear all the conversation!

We had GP, PhillyT, RealJuan(and his wife), 023, SKS, Padre, and eventually Midaski too.  SKS and Padre came back later after dinner.

I much appreciate having such a rambling discussion with associating so pleasantly, and around a wide spectrum of topics.

Got three Perry 28mm billmen constructed, and a good number of folks were painting along the way too.

We missed havign Gankom and Artoban, folks asked about ya.

I hope to set this up again in the next month or so.

Cheers! :icon_biggrin: :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

I often discover my internet issues when my kids charge into my room to complain that they’ve been kicked from ROBLOX!

Great fun guys, loved the stories and the chance to virtually hobby!

I'm incredibly disappointed to have missed it again! Sleeping in threw off my schedule and I had to rush around to get stuff ready for Fathers Day. But I'm super glad to hear it was another great success.

I've actually started a Roblox account for myself as a way to connect with my daughter. I don't get the appeal of most of these games (Currently raising a cat and a koala in Adopt Me) but from what I get, it's both social and good with the negotiations as there's a trading aspect. (Sort of like trading baseball or Star Wars cards when I was a kid... but with online tech.)

With quarantine my two kids play with my sisters kids on adopt me and Piggy.  It’s pretty cute!  My mother also got in on it and I too made an account and play a bit.  I agree with your assessment, I think it is like trading baseball cards.  My daughter is too trusting though.  She keeps getting scammed though I think she does some scamming too.  They play Murder Mystery too.

We are working on it with her...   :-P

Yes.  We talked about doing this again in the next 4 to 6 weeks.  And that was last Saturday.

Keep coming back!  It'll get posted in this thread. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

I would drop in to say hi.  I will not be painting or anything of that nature.  I don't really have any paints at the moment and I'm not really active in the scene, but would still be good to see some folks.
Me and Wissenlander had babies!

not together.

Gentlemen ... I haven't forgotten about setting another one of these in motion.  However, there has been a quite a bit of weekend activity here regarding my father's cancer diagnosis and getting things ready for him to be living with my mother while he undergoes treatments.  Not sure when I'll set one of these up again for a Saturday, but I am keeping an eye on the calendar for doing this again.

We all understand that there are more important things to take care of. As enjoyable as they've been, we can wait for better timing.

Or try out SKS's Discord group - something I now realize I had forgotten about!

The long awaited next "Greet and Paint" is being set up for this upcoming Saturday, October 24, 2020.

The session will start on Zoom at 11am EST, 4pm GMT, 8am PST, 5pm CET.

The session will last four hours, and folks can come and go as they please.

Please let us know if you'd like to attend, and I will send sign on info via email on Saturday prior to the start time.

Believe I have email addresses for Midaski, 023, PhillyT, Padre, Gankom, RealJuan, Artoban, and SKS.  If you're not on that list, feel free to send an email address via pm.

Also, remember the on line software is a bit funky if more than one person is talking, so please be flexible and understanding with the conversation.

List of those planning to attend so far ... GP
