Infantry Heavy 2500 army, want to finalize before I paint

Basically looking for an extremely defensive, synergistic Empire army. I would hold back and blast with artillery, then charge with Light-Buffed, Hatred, MR(2), Stubborn, etc halberdiers.

Considerations:

I want to keep the pairs of priests and witch hunters for my theme. I also cannot take any ICK/Reiks.

I know theres a lot of chaff, but with this slow of an army Ill need it, plus I can use some archers for warmachine defense from things like skinks and gutter runners.

Dropping one halberd horde for a greatsword horde so both formations are stubborn. This is much more expensive unfortunately.
almost 1000 pts in core.

Cant find points for the 4th demigryph.

No Steam Tank in this list, I can drop a cannon to get halfway there, what else to drop?

Is the Cap on a peg worth it?

Is Light the Lore to go with? Or should I choose Heavens or something?

Considering your theme and keeping certain elements it will be hard to shift alot around to accomodate anything else.

Your core allowance is high but not high enough to sub your unit of Halberdiers (without the crown) for GS (special choice) giving you a sturdier batteline.

A Captasus is a good idea though as you want to take out enemy artillery soon if you keep defensive or be blown to bits your self.

You might want to swap out 1 small archer detachment for Free Company, as your archers won't put a dent in Gutter Runners before they die by them, with the extra attacks from Free Company you might be able to take them out if your Captasus ain't around.

Can't comment really on the lores as I'm still probing that out myself..
