Topic: Back after a year, with new mini's ^_^

So after a break of almost a year not posting I return with some new 8th games under the belt. Luckily I did not completely abandon the empire but also actually finished things.

I think I posted these teutogen guard here once before, but it's never bad to repeat that 


I think I also posted my kislev swordsmen here before, but I can't find an image on this computer so that will remain forthcoming (in two weeks or so ^_~ when I have my camera again)
I do have some shots of my new wizard, the wonderfull miniature of Max Schreiber:


And the new jewel in my collection, just lacking some icicles (the first two pics are slightly blueish):




Next on my painting list is my heavily converted Fire mage, (a cookie for he that can tell all the work made in this dark photo)

I want to use both flame sources to experiment with sourcelighting. I'll make one set of flames blue and the other yellow and see if I can make that all nice and shiny.

For the far future is my war altar that will require a lot more converting work, but in the end I'll one day get there.


More shots in two weeks of my artillery, ostland crossbowmen and Kislev swordsmen. And maybe even some of my White wolf knights that have been WIP for roughly 3 years now.

I love the altar! Great idea with those dogs, I like the models. Can't wait to see it completed.

It's actually already further then in the photo, I sculpted the right boarding of the chariot to resemble a howling wolf. I "just" need to do the left and the outsides still. However at the moment I'm not using him in my armylist so the project is temporarily on hold.

A small update,

I finished painting my 2nd cannon and crew and i also finshed both bases:



On the basing part I finished my Kislev swordsmen:



And as a complete new unit, just waiting for finished bases and movement tray (I'm slowly switching to magnetizing the army), some crossbowmen for my Ostland swordsmen:


On the other fronts I've started painting my fire mage, which proves to be difficult (as I expected) and I'm finishing the base of my Ostland swordsmen. Then it's on to the waraltar, where I already sneakilly sculpted a wolfhead on one side since I had putty in surplus from converting daemons...if only those three other armies would keep out of the way I would speed up....
