My Nuln Army. (updated 18/08/07)
« on: August 17, 2007, 08:41:32 AM »
Thought it was time I posted some pics of my army up. I have some 3000pts of painted stuff now, probally a little more in reality. I have based my army on Nuln, although I do not run a Gunline, prefering a more balanced approach to play. Anyway, on to the more important things, the models -

Captain, Battlestandard and Warriorpriest.

Helblaster.

Cannon and Crew.

Greatswords.

Halbadiers.

Pistoliers.

Swordsmen.

Handgunners.

Hochland long rifle and Crossbow conversions(have 10 of these)

This is a small selection of stuff. I will add and redo various photos as I go along, as I am not the greatest photographer in the world, and it takes me a while to get a reasonable picture.

Hope you enjoy.

Nicely done. Those old helbardiers do look smart in their "light" armor. I like the general dark look of the army + the decent basing.

Damn... lovely and clean army man. I love the rifleman with the rest. That's a really effective conversion right there.

Pistoliers... dark and brooding, love it.

Halberdies and Helblaster, totally loving it in black.

And... YOU HAVE THE REIKLAND MORDHEIM CAPTAIN I WANT! GRARGH!

Good on ya! ;)

Thank you for the kind words guys.

It is strange that you mentioned my bases Eisenherz, as that is one of the things I am slowly changing at the moment. Nothing major, just removing the old green flock, for clumps of static grass instead. It has gone well so far, my 15 Greatswords, and most heroes are now done, and just look a lot better for it I feel.

To Soju, thanks, the rifleman was a very simple piece, but very effective. I just lengthened the gun with a part off of the crossbow converted ones, and used the rest from the cannon sprue to cover the join and reinforce the glue area. Literally took 5 minutes to do with minimal effort.

I love the small simple conversions like this as they are a great way to personalize each unit and the army as a whole, without resorting to massive projects all the time.

looks good

love the old school plastic uni-pose halberdiers, I have a full unit of those laying around, maybe I'll do some head swaps and use them as detachments too

A very nice army. :eusa_clap:

I don't normally like the Nuln colour scheme as it can look unfinished, but your army certainly looks like it is meant to be painted in this way.

The one thing I would change is I would paint the rim of the bases brown, because there is already large amount of black in the colour scheme.
