If you do have acces to those old knights then I'd say go with them, you'd get very unique knights. I've seen quite a lot of conversions using the new (bit too big for empire for my tastes..) knights, but not a single one using those old ones.

Plus hey, they are rocking darn cool capes!

indeed they got more details I don't want I mean all these chaos marks etc.
I will think aboiut it. Plastic ones are bulky and I know it will cost me a lot of time and finger cuts to finish them nicely.
Either way I can do 2 units and use both variety

I can't remember who, but someone (I think on this forum) used the chaos knights and filed off the chaos marks and filled the models in with green stuff to fill in the gaps

I was do that with older models and they look good (that is part from my Grand Master of White Wolf) now I am making with new Chaos Knights (OK not now it is already 2yrs or even more yes I know I am lazy) New with cloak's are win for the game

The old knights come with heads and bodies in one piece. If you have a dremel or similar tool you can remove them, otherwise I think it's going to be hard. Looks nice though. I decided to buy new plastic chaos knights and more vc blood knights to enlarge current unit of KotWW

I have heard rumours about new chaos warriors and I'm going to wait for it. I hope to see a lots of new miniatures which will fit to Ulric's climat. But I have enough thing to finish about my current projects... So hopefully I will be able to show you something this week. Fingers crossed

I would be surprised to see new Chaos Warriors and Chaos Knights. The Knights were just updated with the last army book and the Chaos Warriors really aren't in need of an update in my opinion. The Marauders on foot on the other hand are in need of an update. Those along with some of the other monstrous things like Chaos Ogres, Dragon Ogres, and the two or three new kits they will come out with are likely to be what gets updated.
