Alright, alright, fine, it's never REALLY done, is it?
After a few games where my Captains on Griffons have done really well, I decided I really wanted to have a Griffon BSB to go with them.
So I got another rescue from eBay, stripped it off, chopped up the rider and kitbashed with a metal Greatsword Standard plus a head from a 3D-print that I'd got off eBay and then never used.
Aaaand while I'm getting the paints and glues back out, I also decided I was also going to finally try the Morrgryph/Imperial Griffon kitbash I've been thinking about for over a year to create a model I actually like to be my General. For me, the standard Imperial Griffon model just looks a bit goofy, kind of out of proportion, especially when compared to the (now three!) metal ones in my army. Cue a lot of cutting, green stuffing, cursing, and "oh my god what have I done" moments and I've made something I'm happy with. Annoyingly some of my best Green Stuff work ever is totally hidden under the wings but... well, I know it's there.
Also with the v1.5 FAQs and the Matched Play guide, I added a baggage train/wagon. Note there's no crew: this is deliberate. I didn't have the models. Also, there's a battle on and they've scarpered!
Interesting aside: Captains and little Griffons have the same initiative and can rack up more CR in a challenge vs sacrificial champion than most flying monsters!
Lastly I added some shields to my mounted Witch Hunters, because I want to give them Twice-Blessed Armour and a Charmed Shield (one per battle anyway), and it feels bad having invisible shields on my guys.
So this is definitely, almost certainly, probably the army completed (again) now.
