Was there ever any monster creation rules for warhammer?

i was just wondering. i just picked up the new white dwarf (US) and saw the 40k creature creation rules and i was wondering if there was anything like that for warhammer fantasy?

Good question - if so, it would be 3rd Edition or earlier. I have heard rumours... Also, 1st Edition 40K allowed/forced players to generate many characters and creatures somewhat randomly. I would not be surprised if this was inspired by some old set of WFB rules.

Some of the old 40K stuff is pretty hilarious to look at - Eldar were "Space Elves" and the now-gone Squat were "Space Dwarfs". How very 80's :D

You can check out http://www.dysartes.com/rules/whfb/design_creature.htm#chum. Create your creature there.
