Topic: Help me with my list! 2400pts

ive been painting away on my empire army furiously with no thought to making a list or even learning how to play wfb.

now however i feel like i need some sort of stopping point and ive joined a gaming club and ive bought a hat with a feather in it and even some dice and a templates and that.
the next step is making my list.

thought i had it down before i realised that my prize possession, a converted Elzbeth von Drakon, is riding 600points of ridiculousness. im sure she will get a game but im also sure ill loose.

so here is how it looks so far.

now my question is. i need to kill that lord, as much as it pains me to do so. what would you replace it with for that 600 points. feel free to add ranks, play with stuff.
im thinking of a wizard lord to sit in the shooty stuff and master engineer to sit on my cannon.
all comments welcome. just dont touch my demigryphs... i spent too long painting them.

I'm not sure how you are calculating 600 points for a Dragon riding Lord of the empire.
The only dragon we have access to is Karl Franz' Imperial Dragon and that build would set you back 640 points.

Anyway...it sounds like you've got a cool conversion model of some sort.   

I would play it as a Beasts Wizard Lord on a Griffon.  200 points for the Level 4 wizard,  170 points for the Griffon, and 100 points of magic items for a total of ~470 points

ah yeah i should have been clearer. its actually this model. the rules are in the forgeworld tamurikan.

but as i cant use her i was wondering what would be good to replace her with. and also not have such a bullet magnet. your suggestion sounds good!

Just give the Beast Wizard Lord a 4+ invul. and dispel scroll.  Bloodroar is nice, but you'd have to find the points for it elsewhere.

Arch Lector with White Cloak, Heavy Armor, and Charmed Shield should give you a good leadership and some buffs for your Greatswords or Swordsmen.

im hearing a lot of beast lord on Griffon! that sounds good to me. if i ride that behind my 6 demigryph knights just buffing them with... that spell that ive forgotten.
as ive got 100 or so points left after that. what should i spend them on? cheers for your help so far!

You could cut back a bit on the numbers of your core and add....

A.  a Helblaster Volley Gun

-or-

B.  a Captain

i thought my core was at its minimum atm anyway. also wanted to keep my 3 ranks on GS and 4 on swordsmen.
ive heard a lot of chatter about the hurricanum. would that be a good choice?
hellblaster has been considered and may well crop up. i recently magnetized 2 great cannon to be interchangable mortors too! all will be blogged!

At 2400 pts your minimum core is 600 pts worth of models.  So, you have ~50 pts there that you could shift.
A Hurricanum is a very good idea.  Didn't know if you had one.
