The doga are actually from Rackham: Cadwallon Doghandler. I intended to use them for mordheim but got up with this idea instead

. When I find suitable chains I´ll use them as leashes.

Glad you think so! The idea is an army very much devoted to Sigmar, with witch hunters and warrior priests leading it. I´m working on a large block of flagellants right now and tend to include a witch hunter with them to. Another project is a mounted warrior priest (Luthor Huss model mounted on the horse of the bretonnian green knight with some conversions), he will be joining my hunters of sigmar knights.

Lots of ideas, to little spare time hehe

I have finaly finished a third row of these lunatics. As you can see, there a room for two more rows on the tray. 25 is the goal! I use these to stop really tough units, they are great for that.

Luthor Huss got bored with the ugly Empire horses, took a trip to Brettonia and slew that green knight!

Quite simple conversion here. Scraped of some Brettonia symbols and added a couple of bits. Shields from state troops, beatsman head from beastmen box and a hammer from the flaggies. Hope you like!

I like the luthor huss there!

Although i would file off the feather-thingies from the horse's head and either leave it there or add some 'normal' feathers from the state troops.

Nice though! Great touch with the hammer and gor head.

EDIT: the horse's tail is VERY nice painted btw

Removing the feather-thingies might be a good idea. Would make the model look a bit rougher. I´ll consider it

Been away from the hobby for way too long. Got stuck in some online gaming. After some struggle I finaly manged to quit and get back to something more rewarding and real, painting on my Empire army!

After getting hold of some new plastic boxes I ended up making some Marienburg pirates (the Hochlanders will have to wait a little). These are heavily inspired by some models I found in a WD magazine. I plan to use them as swordsmen in a unit of 20 with standard and all. Working on more.

Bits from state troops, flagelants, huntsmen, pistoliersand greatswords

You are right about that. I realised after writing that there are some militia parts in the mix as well; so, most kits involved. After I come up with an idea of how I want a regiment to look I just dig into all the sprues that I have and look for fitting parts. In the case with the Marienburgers I wanted a nautical pirate look. Bodys with coats seemed to achieve this I thought. The huntsmen were perfect for this, and also on of the militia bodys. The wooden bases plays a great part in this as well. I was thinking ship deck and tried out some green stuff "sculpting", quite easy to achieve it turned out.

hehe. Also, I spend alot of time on each and every model. Its a matter of painting alot and get better, but also to have alot of patience. And having fun of course

I spend about three hours per mini, though I'm getting faster.

Finaly finished with the command group of my new swordsmen unit. I will add 4 more to this unit to make it a full 20 (without the priest that is). This unit sprung from an idea about a tough regiment guarding the Hochland borders to the Drakwald forest. The colours on this unit goes well together with the militia and crossbow units found further up on this thread, I plan to use these as detachments. The units I´m working on now carry torches and lanterns. They might need some light when hunting beastmen in the dark forest I figured

I think that is my favourite unit of swordsmen I have ever seen! I love the muscled champion with hammer, and the green is lovely.
