This is my first Empire list, designed as a vaguely all comers list. It is based off the models I currently own, though I am happy to expand my collection.

Any suggestions and advice will be gratefully received.

Just noticed I was over the 25% allowed for Heros, so I dropped a Warrior Priest and replaced him with a naked Master Engineer. Now, this leaves me with 74 points, would it be worth dropping the musician from the Pistoliers and taking a second Mortar?

I think it's better to keep the musician in with the pistolier and drop a normal one to get another mortar then. If you keep the pistoliers you want the musician to rally faster as you will run away with them alot. But I do think it would be worthwhile to get another mortar.

That makes a lot of sense actually, I'd not been thinking about using them beyond 'paint, base, field' to be honest.

One thing that was suggested on Warseer is to drop the FC from the Free Company. Doing this, and dropping the Priest as well as the sixth man from the Pistoliers gives me 191 points. One suggestion is another GC and Mortar, but I was wonder if I'd be better served with a small block of something?

I wonder why they suggested to drop the WP.. seems to me that having AL and/or WP in your army is rather good.. Can't really comment on the FC in Free Company if it's worthwhile or not..

Ah. The list posted above is an amended one; the original list had two Warrior Priests in it and received the suggestion to drop one of the Warrior Priests as I was over my Hero allowance of 25%.

I'm not sure on the Free Company command either, some say take it for the combat resolution whereas others say they're a speed bump and not deserving of it. I suppose its easy enough to model a command for them, and replace them with some of the many many Mordheim models that fit into an Empire army if it proves inefficient to have command in there.
