Really really nice army, you have a very clean painting style that i really like and your use of the older models is perfect, really what i'd imagine a reiksguard army, the emperors body go look like. can't wait to see an army shot :)

Thanks guys.

where did u get the banners from brov?

The banners? Let me answer that by copy/pasting a question+answer from the previous page:

Where did you get the banner?

Please share!

The heraldic motif is from the 5.Edition empire book. I scanned the picture, coloured it in Photoshop and put together the banner. Then I printed it on normal paper and painted over most areas. Same procedure for the crossbowmen's banner and the pennants on the lances of the knights.

Notice the funny part?  :-D

Love all the painting and conversions.

Agree with many comments ....have found this very inspirational.

I had forgot all about the Dogs of War models.

Besiegers and republican guard is going on the shopping list.

I´m trying to find some dismounted knight type models like the foot knight reiksguard you have there.

Wish they would bring them back into production.

But I digress.......

Superb job.

Love all of it.

I answered this question only a few post above yours.  The only difference this time: I glued it on a modified greatswords plastic banner.

They look brilliant! I would like to see more of them! ;)

So would I.  :-D

Great looking command and your conversions look to be absolutely spanking. Look forward to see more of these and painted up in the fullness of time.

Fantastic plog this!

I love that old command group, and you really brought out the best in it with your painting.

While this unit looks great, especially the Standard, I kind of feel a little bad, seeing these classics meet the conversion-death...

Yes and no. I'm mainly jealous that I don't own as many classic miniatures myself.
But Yes the conversions look great, and the variety makes the unit even more superb!

Thanks. As a matter of fact, I already have a unit of 24 untouched Republican guard models waiting for my attention. (I will expand those to at least 40 as well, when the time has come)

Shame on me for the pathetic slow updates  :icon_rolleyes: But I got a little something today:

First off, a small unit filler:

A photo of 2 finished knights from the front rank - I have posted a WIP photo somewhere above.

A Wip shot of another unit filler - the commander of the unit and maybe even the General of the Infantry forces.

Another WIP shot - a priest of the knightly order

Prior Rochus Marwaldt - Sanctioned warrior priest of Sigmar and the Prior of the monastery in Castle Reiksguard.
