Very nice, I like it a lot!

The new Doomwheel is a gorgeous model, and your paintjob does its part as well. Well done!

Looks really nice. I particularly like the way you've done different colours for each wooden panel on the wheel.
I hope you dont mind but I've posted the images for you.... I hate links! If you do mind let me know and I'll take them straight down

Its fine to post them up like that  :-D

I only did it as links to get the bigger photos up, as I didn't take any close ups, and the light has pretty much gone now here.  I will try to get some close-up pictures tomorrow or whenever I can actually get some decent light!

Took me around 10 hours all told to paint!  Probably the longest I have ever spent on a model!

The only part I am not 100% happy with is the base.  Its very bland!  It is however identical to all my other bases in my armies, so thats why it is staying!

Thats not too bad really though.  I know people who spend upwards of 100 hours on models, although they are usually larger monsters!

Im generally not patient enough to do a good job.  My skaven army currently looks like this.

Painted:  Queek, 2 assassins, 6 gutter runners, 2 poison wind globadiers, 1 warpfire thrower, an old skrye warlock, doomwheel

Half painted: BSB, 4 chieftains/warlords, warp lightning cannon, abomination, grey seer, screaming bell

Not painted: 200 clanrats/slaves, 70 plague monks, 10 plague censors, plague furnace, 2 plague priests, 75 giant rats, 8 rat ogres, 12 pack masters, 35 stormvermin, 5 jezzails, 2 ratling guns, 1 warpfire thrower, 1 warlord, 5 warlock engineers, 20 night runners, 1 rat ogre bonebreaker conversion, 3 poison wind globadiers and 4 rat swarms.

Salvage pile:  Models that were painted badly:  Vermin lord, needs stripping.

Something tells me this army will never get completed!

My problem is that skaven are not the only army I am painting :(  I have a 3000 point wood elf army, a 3500 pt 40k chaos army, and a 4000pt 40k eldar army that need doing as well!  My empire army is more or less complete aside a small amount of cavalry so that can be ignored [phew!]

250 points a month is a regiment of around 55 skaven models a month.  Or more worryingly, around 125 slaves!  I don't think I could possibly commit to that, as I would never ever complete it!

Nice paint job, but the base is too boring, throw in some rocks or broken weapon or......something.
